PTFE LINED LOADING ARMS are used in situations where the liquid is too corrosive for conventional metals, or the level of concentration of an acid may change due to contact with atmosphere. Examples of acids that may require PTFE lined loading arms are sulphuric, nitric, hydrochloric and hydrofluoric.
PTFE lined loading arms can be made from carbon steel or stainless steel outer pipes, with a lined interior. Loadtec swivel joints are also available with PTFE lining and are built to a special design that allows long life and high integrity.
When PTFE lined loading arms are supplied with a vapour recovery option, using a cone, the whole of the drop pipe is manufactured from PVDF, including the cone.
